About the Theme

Our theme this year is "Friends Together:  Outpourings of the Spirit." Our plenary presenter will be singer/songwriter Paulette Meier who is known for her collections of Quaker chants and her children's peacemaking music.

Our theme was inspired by the energy, creativity and life revealed last year as we gathered for the first time since the COVID-19 shutdowns. As Friends know, when a group gathers, settles, and opens themselves to the Spirit, good things can happen. And they did. This year we expect even more wonderful outpourings of the Spirit as we join in large and small groupings, sharing meaningful workshops, Bible Study, worship sharing, singing, meals and fun social time. We’re especially excited about the Saturday night 400th Birthday Celebration for Friend George Fox who was born way back in 1624.

About the Location

Annual Meeting is returning to Ashland University. The university is located in the charming small town of Ashland, Ohio, about halfway between Cleveland and Columbus. Last year participants noted their appreciation for the compact campus, easy parking, centralized space for meeting and socializing, a children's program that was close to the action, and good food. We also greatly enjoy partnering with the Ashland Center for Nonviolence, founded by the late LEYM Friend John Stratton. The address for the Ashland University John C Myers Convocation Center where LEYM check-in will happen is 638 Jefferson St, Ashland, OH 44805

We invite all members, attenders, and acquaintances of LEYM to join in the fun and worship June 13-16, 2024.
