LEYM Friends will be gathering in-person at Ashland University June 12-15, 2025. The 2025 theme is Mending Our Nets: The Power of Becoming Whole.
We invite you to join us in Ashland Ohio for this year’s annual meeting June 12-15, 2025. This gathering offers a space to reflect on the brokenness we encounter—within ourselves, our communities, and the world—and to consider how we might repair, restore, and reweave the fabric of our lives with intention and grace.
Our theme is "Mending Our Nets: The Power of Becoming Whole." Our plenary presenter will be Pamela Haines from Central Philadelphia Friends Meeting. Pamela is a Quaker writer, activist, earthcare advocate and workshop leader, focused on community building and economic justice.
Drawing inspiration from our Quaker heritage we will delve into the spiritual and practical work of healing, guided by worship, workshops, and meaningful dialogue. This year, our Bible Study will be led by Douglas Gwyn, a well-published scholar and lecturer on Quaker Theology. Together, we’ll seek to understand how we can be instruments of wholeness in a fractured world. Whether you’re a longtime Friend or new to Quakerism, we welcome you to this opportunity for renewal and connection.
Annual Meeting is returning to Ashland University. The university is located in the small town of Ashland, Ohio, about halfway between Cleveland and Columbus. Participants noted their appreciation for the compact campus, easy parking, centralized space for meeting and socializing, a children's program that was close to the action, and good food prioritizing local sources. We also greatly enjoy partnering with the Ashland Center for Nonviolence, founded by the late LEYM Friend John Stratton. The address for the Ashland University John C Myers Convocation Center where LEYM check-in will happen is 638 Jefferson St, Ashland, OH 44805
We invite all members, attenders, and acquaintances of LEYM to join in the fun and worship June 12-15, 2025.
